Peninsula e.V. selects the projects to be realised for the year at a General Assembly dedicated to this purpose, which is held twice a year in the spring and fall. Please refer to the Peninsula website for the most up-to-date deadlines.
In order to submit projects, you must be a member of Peninsula and submit all the required materials as specified in the guidelines below.
As Peninsula e.V. is an international platform, the application language should be English.
GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT APPLICATIONS

4. Eligibility: Applicants must be members of Peninsula e.V. (in the event that one of the members of the Project Committee applies with a project, a temporary replacement for the member of the Project Committee is required).
5. Application Period
Project applications may be submitted at any time. The initial selection of projects will be conducted by the Project Committee. In a subsequent stage, the selected proposals will be subjected to a vote at the General Assembly.
Proposals received by 15 January will be voted upon at the General Assembly in the spring of the same year.
Those proposals received by 15 August will be voted on at the General Assembly in the autumn of the same year.
6. Required Documents (in English)
- – Statement of motivation: max. 500 words (please explain the role of Peninsula in the project. Why Peninsula?)
- – Concept: max. 500 words
- – Curator(s) / curatorial team: short bio (max. 200 words + website)
- Artist(s): short bio (max. 200 words + website)
- – Please provide a detailed description of the proposed works, including the author, title, material, size, and year of production. Each work should be represented by a single image. Works that have not yet been produced should be submitted on a single A4 sheet of paper, accompanied by a comprehensive work plan. Video works should be submitted as a link to Vimeo, YouTube, or a similar accessible platform, accompanied by a brief synopsis of 300 words. Please do not send original works.
- – In the event of a group:
- — Please specify the team members, their roles, and CVs.
- — Please provide the name of the individual who will serve as the primary point of contact for the project and be responsible for all communication with Peninsula.
7. Budget
Please download and complete the Excel file provided as a model.
8. How to Submit
- Please submit the application via email as a single file in PDF format, including images and video links (max. 7MB), to submission@peninsula.land before 15 January or 15 August. Please ensure that the email subject line reads “Project Proposal” to ensure that it reaches the Project Committee. Applications that are incomplete will not be considered.
- The results will be announced after the following General Assembly.

- Does the call for projects also include requests for a support letter?
It is not possible to request a letter of support for projects that have previously been accepted by other institutions. Instead, please write to the following email address: submission@peninsula.land. Further details can be found on the Support letters page.

HOW TO REQUEST A LETTER OF SUPPORT
1. Please send us a complete description of the project that fits on one A4 page for which the letter is requested, indicating the timeline and the partners involved.
2. Please send everything as a single file in PDF format (max. 7MB) to submission@peninsula.land
3. Please include “Support letter” in the subject line of the email, otherwise the email will not reach the Project Committee. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
We highly recommend submitting the request for a support letter no later than three weeks before the deadline for which it is needed.
Requests arriving after this deadline may be rejected.
