PAVILLON AM MILCHHOF Schwedter Str. 232, 10435 Berlin.

To actualise a common narrative of this complex period that is developing in unpredictably rhizomatic ways, the interdisciplinary art platform Peninsula proposes FABULA.

FABULA applies to digital video the mode of the cadavre exquis* of the surrealist matrix. It started in 2020 as an answer to the pandemic crisis in a moment of physical and social distance.

After 3 years from its beginning, FABULA took the shape of a loop of 8.5’’ hosted by Pavillon am Milchhof. In a challenging and divisive moment the collective work and fragmented narrative underlines the ongoing urgent necessity of solidarity and dialogue.

The creation of the work took place through the participation of eighteen members of Peninsula in a stream of consciousness: Cristiano Cesolari, Costantino Ciervo, Rebecca Agnes, Christian Niccoli, Stefania Migliorati, Claudio Gobbi, Ilaria Biotti, Matteo Grassetti, Emilio Rapanà, Molino & Lucidi, Daniele Jost, Eleonora Farina, Alessia Pastore, Alexandra Wolframm, Fabio Torrico, Maruska Mazza, Matteo Peterlini, Marco Dalbosco.

*cadavre exquis, literally exquisite cadaver is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule or by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed (Wikipedia).
